
The driver of an SUV who suffered a medical emergency on the road ended up injuring three people after crashing the vehicle into a house.
The incident occurred in Holiday, Florida (USA), when the driver of a Hyundai Santa Fe, identified by authorities as a 46-year-old woman, suffered a medical emergency while driving along Riverlawn Court.
The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. local time last Tuesday (7), according to a press release shared on Facebook by the Pasco County Fire Rescue.
After feeling unwell, the woman lost control of the vehicle. The SUV then collided with a wire fence and a wooden fence before hitting the edge of a pool and becoming airborne, the Florida Highway Patrol added.
The vehicle then crashed into and “completely entered” the house on the property, authorities said. Two women, aged 40 and 42, were in the house at the time of the accident.
Both suffered minor injuries and were taken to the local hospital. The driver and a 9-year-old boy who was in the car were also taken to the hospital, both with minor injuries.
The Red Cross was notified of the incident, according to the Pasco County Fire Rescue. The Florida Highway Patrol is now investigating the case.
